Job Description NHS Band 7 Salary: £49,387 - £56,515 per annum Hours Per Week: Full Time, 37.5 Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and forward thinking HCPC registered Biomedical or Clinical Scientist to lead our Point of Care Testing (POCT) service across a large University NHS Hospital Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing and technologically advanced POCT service that supports thousands of patients every day across emergency, acute, outpatient and community settings, including a number of remote Renal Dialysis Centres. Working alongside a Band 6 POCT Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for the operational management, governance and strategic development of a diverse portfolio of POCT devices located across the Trust's main hospital site and multiple satellite locations. The POCT service continues to expand in line with new clinical pathways, technological developments and service transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that POCT services remain safe, compliant, reliable and responsive to the needs of clinicians and patients. You will work closely with laboratory services, clinical teams, nursing staff, medical colleagues, procurement services, Trust IT & Digital Teams and equipment manufacturers to deliver high a high-quality POCT service that meets national standards and supports excellent patient care.
