Job Description As part of our growth, we are currently looking for a motivated Energy and Sustainability Intern to join our Energy, Sustainability, and Commissioning Services Division, working across both our Energy Modeling and Green Group teams. The Intern will support Energy Analysts, Sustainability Analysts, and Project Managers, and will be exposed to high-profile green and high-performance building projects – locally, nationally, and internationally – with the opportunity to work alongside major real estate developers, award-winning design firms, and top-tier construction companies. The Intern will be integrated into a team of talented SOCOTEC professionals who have completed over 500 LEED projects worldwide, are at the forefront of energy and materials innovation, and have been actively involved in the U.S. Green Building Council since its inception. Our project types are broad, including offices, multi-family residential (mid & high-rise), assembly, natatoriums, and art galleries, with project sizes typically ranging from 100k to 2 million square feet. Join a team at the forefront of net-zero design, building decarbonization, and carbon emissions reduction strategies, helping clients create high-performance, sustainable buildings that support long-term environmental goals while advancing the future of the built environment. This internship is designed for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on, practical exposure to building energy performance, sustainability consulting, and green building certification processes. You will receive training and mentorship from experienced staff while contributing to real client projects, and will be trained on hygrothermal analyses of the building envelope, energy code issues, and sustainability certification schemes.
