About Superset
Superset is building self-improving software. It starts with giving engineers the best tools that adapt to their needs over time. Today, tens of thousands of engineers run Superset as their primary IDE, at companies like Wix, DoorDash, and Netflix.
We're building a flat and talent-dense team, and we're looking for people who have crazy ideas and are crazy enough to ship them. If you want to build a product you love to use, come build it with us.
About the role
As agents take on more of the coding, how should people direct the work, understand what’s happening, and decide what ships? We’re looking for a founding design engineer to help define that experience.
You’ll partner closely with our CPO to shape the product, owning design and frontend implementation from early exploration through production in React and TypeScript. You’ll also define how Superset presents itself to the world through our brand and website.
What you’ll do
In your first 90 days, you’ll establish our visual direction, launch a new homepage, and ship a meaningful improvement to the product experience.
About you
Bonus if you:
About us
We’re a small team founded by three former YC CTOs, backed by $11.5 million from some of the best investors in the Valley. We built Superset in Superset, so we use what we ship every day. We’re source-available, so your work will be public and used by a community of engineers.
We believe design will play a defining role in how people build software with agents. You’ll work closely with our CPO and founders, with the ownership to challenge assumptions, shape the product, and take ideas into production.
Compensation and benefits
$175k–$225k base plus 1.0%–1.5% equity.
We offer medical and dental coverage, a Guideline 401(k), unlimited time off, a $5k desk stipend, and meals in the office.

Share your portfolio and a shipped project you’re proud of. Describe your contribution, design decisions, and what you learned. Include a live demo and GitHub, repo, or PR links where available.
